Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Your privacy matters. This policy describes the information EventPlanner collects and how we use it.

1. Who we are

EventPlanner ("we", "us", or "our") is a price-comparison and event-planning website operated by i8 Capital. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

  • Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
  • Event and wishlist data: wishlists, event types, budgets, guest counts, and dates that you choose to save.
  • Usage data: non-identifying information such as which products you view and which vendor links you click, used to improve the site.

We do not collect or store payment card details. All purchases happen on the vendor's own website.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference, and hold the list of products you are comparing. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Affiliate partners may set their own cookies once you click through to their site, which is governed by their privacy policies.

4. Affiliate links and third parties

EventPlanner participates in affiliate programs with vendors such as Amazon, Etsy, and others. As an Amazon Associate, EventPlanner earns from qualifying purchases. When you click a vendor link and make a purchase, that vendor may share a record of the sale with us so we can earn a commission. This does not change the price you pay. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the site (for example, our hosting and database providers) and never sell your personal information.

5. How we use your information

  • To create and maintain your account and wishlists.
  • To display and compare vendor pricing relevant to your events.
  • To improve the products, vendors, and features we offer.
  • To send service-related messages, such as newsletter updates you opt into.

6. Data retention and security

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law. Passwords are stored only as a salted hash, never in plain text. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Every type of data we collect

The full list. If it is not on this table, we do not collect it.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@codemodeapps.com; we will respond as required by applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

EventPlanner is a general-audience service intended for adults and is not directed to children. Account holders must be at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and if we learn that we have, we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance.
